Less than a year after the passing of Isabella McEwan her brother Douglas has left this world.
I was able to attend his funeral in Glasgow recently and listened to a wonderful testimony about his life and his character. As the minister said, he touched many lives for the better as a Social Worker and as a Sunday School teacher. Douglas always helped and never judged. He did everything in life to the best of his ability and in a precise and neat manner. He baked, tended roses, sang, played musical instruments and served as Elder of his church for many years.
I regret that I was unable to attend Ishbel’s funeral or to visit him in his last year but have many fond memories of he and his sister and will miss their guidance and memory in my research.
