I have two giant family templates (10 generations each) from My Family Tree on the go at the moment. One is working downward, using Professor James Y McKee’s book, A History of the Descendants of David McKee of Anahilt.

Obviously I want to verify wherever possible what he claimed, given te negative comments of Rev David Stewart in the 1930s.

The other tree is working backwards, using the information I have from statutory records, censuses and church records to try to set out the relationships between the different McKee families.

My aim is to see if I can join the two together or at leaast establish clarity regarding the relationship between the Poagsburn McKees, the Burnt House McKees and my wife’s McKees from Carricknaveagh.
